Stamperia Bonding Gel Matt & Clear 150 ml - K3P82

Stamperia Bonding Gel Matt & Clear is a mixed-media gel that works as a transparent medium, a strong adhesive for heavier decorative elements and a binder for making textured paste. Used on its own, it dries translucent with a matt finish. Mix it with Stamperia Antique Relief Powder to create an opaque, matt white relief paste.

Three ways to use it

• As an adhesive: use the gel to attach heavier embellishments in layered mixed-media and decorative projects.
• As a transparent medium: use it on its own when you want a translucent rather than opaque finish.
• As a texture-paste binder: combine it with Antique Relief Powder K3P81 for rustic, organic effects and raised stencilled details.

Making textured paste

1. Place a small amount of Bonding Gel and Antique Relief Powder in a mixing dish.
2. Mix together, adjusting the proportions to suit the effect you want. More powder gives a rougher, stronger texture; less powder gives a softer, more subtle result.
3. Apply the mixture through a stencil or use it to build textured decorative details.
4. Use Stamperia paints, sprays or powders to introduce colour to your textured work.
5. Allow to dry naturally for best results. A heat gun can speed up drying.

Understanding the finish

The gel alone dries translucent. Adding Antique Relief Powder changes the mixture to opaque matt white, so choose the gel alone when transparency matters and the powder mixture when you want a visible textured layer.
