Step into Tracy Evans’ wonderfully expressive world of colour, texture and layered storytelling with her Nature Is My World class, created especially for our Layers & Legends Virtual Retreat.
In this beautiful art-journal project, Tracy takes inspiration from the natural world and combines it with her distinctive mixed-media style. You’ll explore paint, stamping, stencilling, texture, collage and mark making, gradually building your page layer by layer around the striking bird focal point.
The gorgeous palette of pink, raspberry, plum, orange and soft yellow makes this project vibrant and joyful, while the vintage papers, stamped details and touches of black give it depth and character.

Make It Your Own
Tracy will also be working with paints, texture paste, collage medium, background stamps, inks, vintage book paper, pencils and other mixed-media favourites. You can use the products Tracy recommends or shop your own stash and substitute similar colours and supplies to create something uniquely yours.
This class isn't about making an exact copy. It’s about learning Tracy’s techniques, experimenting with layers and allowing your own creative story to emerge.
